Dr Zoran Ristovski is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences, Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. He completed his university degree at the School of Engineering Physics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Belgrade University, Yugoslavia in 1988.  He received his doctorate at the same university in 1996.  In 1996 he obtained a PostDoc position at QUT and moved to Brisbane, Australia. He took up a lecturing position at the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences, QUT, in 2000.

Dr Ristovski is an author of over fifty journal and conference papers, supervisor of several PhD and MSc projects. He is also a member of the International Standard Organisation were he was actively involved in the development of new standards in the area of aerosol measurement.
