Our research personnel includes
full time QUT academic staff, research staff (research fellows, postdoctoral
fellows, research and senior research assistants) and postgraduate students. The
figure below presents a schematic diagram showing these QUT Schools within three
different Faculties that are involved with the ILAQH programs.
To
address the challenge related to the interdisciplinary nature of air pollution
and its impact on human health it was necessary to involve with the programs
undertaken by the ILAQH academics from all the relevant disciplines including: physics, chemistry,
microbiology, mathematics, public health, engineering, etc. This was achieved
through establishing a two-dimensional structure of the operation of the unit,
which includes:
|
Academic and research personnel involved on a full time basis with the ILAQH .
|
The
academic staff operating in this capacity are employed by the School of Physical
and Chemical Sciences, QUT and as part of their university duties conduct
teaching in physics and chemistry programs. In terms of research, all the
research work of these academics is in the area of the ILAQH programs.
The
full time research personnel are Research and Senior Research Assistants,
Research Fellows and Postdoctoral Fellows employed mainly from ILAQH funds, but also through QUT Postdoctoral Fellowships.
|
Academic and research personnel involved on a fractional basis with the ILAQH
|
The academic staff operating in this capacity are employed by: the Discipline of Cell & Molecular Biosciences, discipline of Mathematical Sciences, Electron Microscopy Facility,
School of Public Health, School of Civil Engineering, School of Mechanical
Engineering, School of Architecture, Interior and Industrial Design, and as a
part of their university duties conduct teaching in their respective discipline
areas. In terms of research, a
fraction of the research work of these academics is in the area of the ILAQH programs and the remaining part, in other areas within their disciplines.
Postgraduate students are enrolled through the relevant Schools or Faculties within QUT.
