Collaboration

The ILAQH operates in close collaboration with a broad range of state, national and international partners, including other research organizations as well as government and industry, which have interest or responsibility in the area of air pollution. Of particular significance is the collaboration between ILAQH and WHO, which sets the major directions for ILAQH activities.

The figure below presents a list of major organisations with which the ILAQH has collaborated through either formal or informal arrangements.

The nature of collaborative arrangements with these organizations varies, and includes the following main types:

  1. Formal arrangements, signed by the participating parties, according to which the collaborating organization either:
    1. Participates in the research devoting the time of its researchers involved with the projects and also the necessary resources.
    2. Provides financial support for the projects, in addition to participating in research programs.
  1. Informal arrangements, usually not involving financial support, or only very limited support, of varying degree of intensity, and often conducted directly between the researchers/professionals from a particular organisation and the ILAQH. These may include joint work on research projects, data/information/expertise sharing, and access to the facilities.
